John Pardike
1952 - 2015John Mark Pardike age 63 of Rogers City
passed away October 4, 2015 at
Alpena Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 6, 1952 in Rogers City
to Merlin and Birdie Mae (Blass) Pardike
John graduated from Rogers City High School in 1972, On December 23,
1972 he married Valerie Kowalewsky at St. John Lutheran Church in
Rogers City where he was a member. John was a carpet installer and a
past officer with the local Boy Scout troop. He was conscientious and
always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved the outdoors and was an
avid hunter – especially bow hunting, He and Valerie traveled throughout
the United States and Canada, but what made him the happiest was
spending time with his sons and grandchildren. John will be remembered
for having the best garden in the neighborhood
Mr. Pardike is survived by:
his wife, Valerie;
2 sons, Jason and Steven (Jennifer);
2 grandchildren, Kayla (Zac) LaLonde and Kollin;
3 brothers, Merlin “Moe” (Janis Blohm), James (Liz) and Allen (Gail).
John was preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Birdie Mae; and
a brother, Carl,
Memorial visitation will take place at the Beck Funeral Home on Thursday
from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. where Pastor Randy Waibel will conduct a
prayer service at 7:00 p.m, Visitation will resume at St. John Lutheran
Church on Friday from 9:00 a.m, through time of his memorial service
at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Eric Voigt officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church
or School or to a charity of your choice in memory of John Pardike.
