Roy Stricker

1918 - 2010

Roy Edward Stricker age 92 of Rogers City
passed from this earth the morning of October 26, 2010,
surrounded by his family.

He was born January 22, 1918 in Rogers City
to Ferdinand and Martha (Wenzel) Stricker

A lifelong resident of Rogers City and Belknap Township, Roy graduated from
Rogers City High School in 1936. He proudly served as a B-24 gunner for the
464th Bombardment Group of the Army Air Corps during World War IL. Roy was
retired from Calcite after 42 years of employment. Mr. Stricker was a committed
member of St. Michael Lutheran Church of Belknap.

He is survived by:
wife, Ethel;
3 daughters, Judy (Mark) Pflug of Greenville, Pamela Stricker of Clinton Township,
and Laurie Stricker of Ossineke;
son, Timothy (Deborah Devine) Stricker of Lansing;
2 grandchildren, Christopher (Athena) Pflug and Sarah (Matthew Bregger) Pflug;
5 great grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel, Abigail, Edison, and Graham;
2 sisters, Margaret Romanski and Grace Smith;
1 brother, Albert Stricker

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until
closing prayers at 8:00 p.m.. Visitation will resume at St. Michael Lutheran Church
on Friday from 10:00 a.m. through time of funeral at 11:00 a.m. with
Pastor Paul Hopkins and Pastor Mark Pflug officiating. Rogers City VFW will offer
a military tribute during graveside services at St. Michael Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. Michael Lutheran Church in memory of Roy Stricker.
