Lucille Reed

Lucille Doris Reed age 98 of Rogers City passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025.

She was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Christy and Alexandrina (L’Abbee) Manoloff on July 10, 1927.

Lucille worked for Aerovox, a United States Defense Department contractor, during World War II. After moving to Rogers City, Lucille worked at the Rogers City High School, retiring in 1982. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.

She is survived by three children, John (Rhonda) Reed of Rogers City, Susan (Wayne) Richards of Alpena and Stephen (Jean Jarrett) Reed of New England; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, LaVerne on March 31, 2013; a son LaVerne Jr. on September 15, 2005; a brother, Edward Manoloff and a sister, Rita Bociek.

Friends may visit at St. Ignatius Catholic Church on Monday, September 15th from 9:45 a.m. through time of Mass at 10 a.m. with Fr. Don Geyman officiating.

Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
