Albert Stricker
1915 - 2015Albert Paul Stricker age 99 1/2 of Rogers City
passed away January 14, 2015 at his son’s house in Hawks.
He was born May 10, 1915 in Rogers City
to Ferdinand and Martha (Wenzel) Stricker.
On October 24, 1940 he married Bernice Stoinski at St. Casimir Catholic
Church in Posen, Albert was Co-Grand Marshal in the 2012 Nautical City
Festival Parade. He retired from the Calcite Plant as a carpenter after
40 plus years of employment. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid
hunter.
Albert is survived by:
2 sons, Norman (Von) of Big Rapids and Roger (Margaret) of Hawks;
10 grandchildren;
many great grandchildren;
1 sister, Grace Smith; and
1 daughter-in-law, Ida Stricker.
He was preceded in death by:
his loving wife, Bernice;
son, Larry;
4 sisters, Edna Dove, Isabel Zempel, Margaret Romanski, and Ethel Viets;
3 brothers, Roy, Harvey, and Carl,
Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 until
8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m, Visitation will resume at
St. John Lutheran Church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. through time of
funeral at 12-Noon with Pastor Eric Voigt officiating,
Rogers City VFW Post 607 will accord military honors immediately
following church services.
Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery,
