Allen Dufek

Allen Francis Dufek age 75 of Indian River passed away peacefully on July 14, 2024.

Allen was born in Kewaunee, Wisconsin April 15, 1949 to Francis and Ione Dufek.

He grew up in a small town, Pilsen, Wisconsin on their family farm.

Allen Met and married his wife Wyona “Onnie” Holmes of Harbor springs in 1969, And then made their home in Indian River.

He is survived by his wife, Wyona “Onnie” Dufek; three children, Edward Dufek, Barbara Dufek and Amy Hill; son in law, Sam Hill; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; five siblings, David, Nancy, Francis, Dennis, Linda; and many nieces and nephews.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Ione Dufek,  and a brother, Joseph Dufek.

Allen was a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard and Navy reserves receiving metals of honor. Allen had an avid love for camping, fishing, gardening and his friends and family. He looked forward to watching Nascar, and was an FOE Eagle member of Indian River. Allen was always a prankster when he could be.. and loved to make others laugh. Allen had a huge strong will to live and enjoy life.
