Aloysius Korte, Jr.

1931 - 2012

Aloysius Joseph William Korte Jr. age 81 of Grand Lake
passed away September 27, 2012 at Turning Brook Assisted Living Center.

He was born August 17, 1931 in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin
to Aloysius and Clara (Kramer) Korte

Al served in the United States Air Force as a Master Staff Sergeant during the
Korean War. He was the owner of A & F Wood Products in Howell; his 3 sons
continue to run the family business. Mr. Korte was a member of St. John the Baptist
Catholic Church, St. Casimir Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Al had a strong commitment to God and his Catholic faith. He enjoyed spending time
with his family and on the golf course. He will be remembered for his sense of humor
and quick wit. He never met a stranger.

Mr. Korte married Patricia Ann Gruba on September 15, 1956. She passed in March
of 1995, and is survived by 6 of their children, Judy (Larry) Richardson,
Mary Frances (Bill) Dougherty, Patrick (Lori) Korte, Steve (Dina) Korte, and
Jason (Jennifer) Korte; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Korte married Marilynn James on April 27, 1996 at St. John the Baptist Catholic
Church in Alpena. She also survives him as well as 3 step children, Stanley James II,
Joni James, and Lori (Dave) Camp; many step grandchildren and great grandchildren;
1 sister, Dorothy (Adam) Wojciehowski; 1 brother, Chuck (Dolores) Korte.

He was preceded in death by; son, Aloysius; sister, Marion.

A private graveside service will take place at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery
with Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating. Posen VFW will accord military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given Hospice of Michigan.
