Alvin Grundy

Grundy, Alvin D. age 80, passed away peacefully Monday morning February 5, 2024, at his home on Grand Lake. He Was blessed to have his loving wife Jeanette (Swaney) who he referred to as his “loving bride” in 62 years of marriage.

He was the loving father of two daughters, Donna (Michelle) and Deanne.

Alvin was preceded by his parents, Russell and Dorothy.

He graduated from Lincoln Park High School. At the age of 19 he entered the work force at Ford Motor Company. After some years of service, he chose to be a rigger and then was selected by the company to teach his trade to others around the country. He stayed with the company for 32 years. Following his retirement, he and Jeanette moved to Grand Lake so they could enjoy living on the lake and all it’s natural surroundings.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served on the Krakow Township planning board. He had a foundation of information about history, he loved to share his knowledge and his stories about Ford Motor Company to ANYONE  who would listen.

He will be deeply missed.
