Anthony Milostan
1928 - 2011Anthony “Tony” Milostan age 82 of Rogers City
passed away July 26, 2011
at Alpena Regional Medical Center
He was born August 22, 1928 in Detroit
to Michael and Sophie (Kamyszek) Milostan
Tony enlisted in the United States Army on September 24,1946, He served with the
Antitank Company of the 350th Infantry in Italy. On June 5, 1954 he married
Arlene Joyce Cetus at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cross Village and moved
from Detroit to Rogers City the same year. In 1958 Tony started Milostan Plumbing
and Heating in Rogers City. He retired in 1993.
Mr. Milostan was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church were he was an usher
for more than 55 years, He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council
1705 Fr. Narloch 4th Degree Assembly, Rogers City Servicemen’s Club,
Rogers City Men’s Bowling Association, Rogers City Sportsmen’s Club, and one
of the founders of the Rogers City Area Senior Center.
He is survived by:
wife, Arlene;
son, Mark (Deborah) of Alpena;
2 grandchildren, Megan and Matthew.
Tony was preceded in death by:
his parents, Michael and Sophie;
brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Arvella.
Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
where the Knights will recite the rosary at 6:30 followed by the parish wake at
7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 until
9:30 a.m. Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz will celebrate Tony’s mass of resurrection at
10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Rogers City VF W Post 607 will
offer a military tribute during graveside services at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery
following mass.
Memorials may be given to Rogers City Area Senior Center
in memory of Tony Milostan.
