Aram “Pete” Ganske
1933 - 2015Aram Edward “Pete” Ganske age 82 of Rhodes,
formerly of Ocqueoc, passed away December 29, 2015
at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Saginaw.
He was born May 4, 1933 in Ocqueoc
to William and Caroline (Wemert) Ganske.
Pete graduated from Onaway High School in 1953, On August 29, 1953 he
married Dorothy Peltz at Trinity Lutheran Church. Pete sailed on the
Great Lakes aboard the John G. Munson from 1953 through 1958. Upon
moving to Midland, Pete worked for Bill Meyers as a real estate agent,
then as a sales manager in auto sales prior to becoming an independent
insurance agent. He loved everything outdoors, from the wildlife to
gardening, he could grow anything ~ well, and most of all he loved his
outdoor “big boy toys”.
Mr. Ganske is survived by:
his wife, Dorothy;
2 daughters, Bettina (Emerson) Youmans of Florida and
Annette Ganske of Rhodes;
2 grandchildren, Trevor Aram Youmans of Beaverton and
Shaina Lee Youmans of Florida;
4 siblings, Evelyn Wolgast, Erwin “Pep” Ganske, Elaine Orcutt and
Carol (Larry) Brownell,
Pete was preceded in death by:
his parents, William and Caroline;
infant daughter, Noralee;
2 brothers, Raymond and Alva; and
an infant sister, Joyce.
Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 until
8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ocqueoc
Township on Saturday from 12-noon through time of funeral at 1:00 p.m.
with Pastor Kurt Eichinger officiating.
Interment will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery,
