Arlee Borowicz

Arlee Fay Borowicz age 85 of Cheboygan passed away peacefully at Medilodge in Cheboygan on June 13, 2026.

She was born June 25, 1940, in Van, Michigan to James and Effie (Hunt) Stoneburner.

Arlee graduated from Mackinaw City High School in 1957. On September 16, 1967, she married Joseph Borowicz at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading and playing games with her family, canning, baking, cooking and taking care of her animals.

Arlee is survived by her husband, Joseph; four children, Christopher (Barbara) Borowicz, Mel (Jay) McKnight and Gerald Borowicz all of Cheboygan and Allison Bowman of Augusta, Kansas; four grandchildren, Michaela Borowicz, Audry McKnight, Jacob Bowman and Evan (Sarah) Bowman; and two sisters, Dorothy Miller and Sherry Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Effie; two sisters, Jessimie and Ginny; a brother, Billy; two brothers-in-law, Robert Miller and Allen Williams; and a son-in-law, Joseph Bowman.

Friends may visit at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Polish Line Road on Thursday, June 18th   from 12-noon through time of her Mass at 1 p.m. with Fr. Thomas Philip officiating.

Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Cheboygan Humane Society in memory of Arlee Borowicz.
