Arthur Peters

Arthur James Peters age 62 of Metz passed away May 22, 2020 at MidMichigan Medical Center.

He was born December 27, 1957 in Rogers City to Thomas and Agnes (Idalski) Peters.

Art enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially fishing at Lake Augusta. He bowled in the Rogers City league as well as played in the local pool leagues. Arthur was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Art loved to spend time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Tracey Peters of Hawks; three brothers, Thomas (Anne) Peters of Alpena; Kenneth (Kathleen) Peters of Posen; and Steven (Connie) Peters of Posen; sister, Janet (David) Misiak of Posen; special friend, Wendy Peters of Hawks; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Agnes; infant brother, Paul Arthur; and sister-in-law, Dori Peters.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 26th, from 4-8 where the Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. followed by the parish wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at St. Casimir Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of his Mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Tracey’s Education Fund or Hospice of Michigan in memory of Arthur Peters.
