Barbara Darga

Barbara Ann Darga, age 73 of Posen,
passed away unexpectedly June 10, 2014,

She was born January 10, 1941 in Rogers City
to Fredrick and Bertha (Kortman) LaPointe.

Barb graduated from Rogers City High School in 1958.
On October 25, 1958 she married Paul Darga at
St. Casimir Catholic Church, For many years Barb volunteered to play
the organ at St. Casimir and St. Dominic Catholic Churches.
Mrs. Darga served on the Posen School Board for many years. She loved
music and played in a band with her brother Gene and brother-in-law
Paul, called “Homesteaders”, Mrs. Darga enjoyed fishing, gardening,
spending time outdoors and knitting. She made hats and booties for all
of her grand and great grandchildren, Barb will be remembered for her
generosity and hospitality.

7 children, Paul Jr. (Carleen) Darga of Posen,
Terry (Jill) Darga of Grand Blanc,
Kimberly (Don) Roznowski of Posen,
Sheila (Fred Witten) Darga of Brighton,
Matthew Darga of Harrison Township,
Lori Selke of Brighton, and Joel Darga of South Lyon;
10 grandchildren, Ryan, Jacob, Justin, Kristin, Jene, Tyler, Tiana, Taylor,
Cheyenne, Savanna, and Sahara;
5 step grandchildren, Amy, Jenny, Erica, Jenna, and Dana;
6 great grandchildren, Collin, Hunter, Camren, Alexis, Hudson, and
Lucas;
6 siblings, Roy (Mel) LaPointe, Shirley Lyons, Gene (Beth) LaPointe,
Jerry (Loretta) LaPointe, Carol Dell, and
Colleen (Paul) Konieczny,

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul in 2007.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Thursday from 3:00 until
8:00 p.m. with the parish wake service at 7:00 p.m.
Visitation will resume on Friday at St. Casimir Catholic Church from
10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz
officiating

Inurnment will take place at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. Dominic Catholic Church tn Metz
