Barbara Davison
1937 - 2025“Jesus replied, I assure you that today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43
Barbara Jean (Rau) Davison Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, Aunt, friend, passed away peacefully at Medilodge in Cheboygan May 5, 2025 at the age of 87 surrounded by her children and loved ones.
Barbara was born to Earl and Helen Rau on August 10, 1937 in Dearborn.
In 1969 Barb and Richard Davison were united in marriage in Garden City and moved to Cheboygan and together raised their seven children. Barb is survived by her children: Karen(Mike) Free of New Port News, VA. Son in law Dan Terrien of Black River Falls, Wis. Sandy (James) Young of Sturgeon Bay, Wis. Tom (Theresa) Raymus, Mike (Tammy) Raymus and Penny (Jim) Simmons all of Cheboygan. Her sister, Nancy (Claude) Ratliff and sister in law Philomena Rau both of Pinckney. Grandchildren: Charles Bizzelle, Chris (Heather) Free, Sara (Jeff) Chevalier, Josh (Molly) Horton, Tanya (Luke) Stubbs, Brian (Nicole) Terrien, Jason Becker, Sasha Becker, Thomas Raymus, Trisha (Dan) Cassise, James (Carlotta) Raymus, Jennifer (Jake) Johnston, Jeremey Raymus, Jordan Raymus, Justin (Cheyenne) Simmons, Tyler Simmons, Jacob Simmons. As well as many many Great and Great Great grandchildren and nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard J. Davison, Daughters: Sharon Duflo and Patricia Terrien, son in law Patrick Duflo, Granddaughter Malissa Horton, Grandson Waylon Becker, Great Granddaughter Mikayla Raymus, Sister: Gloria Noble and Brother: Earl Rau.
Barb had many friends where she lived in Grebe Village for 22 years. For many years she coordinated parties and events for the residents
in the village. She loved staying socially active with everyone whether it was playing cards or bingo or just watching movies on movie night.
Barb enjoyed traveling in her younger years and worked at many places throughout her life but spending time with her family at the “Raymus Ranch” was what she truly enjoyed the most. Barb had strong faith in the Lord. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life.
Her memorial service will take place on Saturday May 10th at 11am at Life Worship Center, 901 W. VFW Rd. Cheboygan.
There will be a luncheon immediately following.
The family is asking in lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Hospice/Harmony house or Medilodge in Cheboygan.
