Beatrice Muszynski

1918 - 2015

Beatrice E. Muszynski age 97 of Rogers City
peacefully passed away at home on March 2, 2015.

She was born February 25, 1918 in Detroit
to Stephen and Emma (Haske) Nowicki.

During World War II Bea worked at Chrysler’s Mack Avenue Plant as
“Rosie The Riveter” assembling wings for our B-29 military planes. She
and her husband Phillip owned and operated the International Hotel from
1940 through 1969. Mrs. Muszynski was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic
Church; it’s Rosary Society; Daughters of Isabella; and the VFW
Auxiliary. She volunteered many hours at Rogers City Tendercare.
Beatrice will be remembered for her beautiful flower garden and baking.
Also, she could be counted on to have cookies in a tin, with a promise to
return the tin for a refill, Bea always had an appropriate article from a

newspaper or magazine to read as a helpful health guide to all her friends
and family.

Beatrice is survived by:
a daughter, True (Jim Wilson) Muszynski of Mt, Pleasant;
son, Jeffrey Muszynski of Long Lake;
granddaughters, Danielle Muszynski and Lauren Muszynski;
brother, Ray (Joyce) Nowicki;
son-in-law, Dr, Daniel Kane of Mt. Pleasant;
many dear nieces and nephews
and several special friends and neighbors,

She was preceded in death by:
her husband, Phillip;
daughter, Sher;
parents, Stephen and Emma Nowicki;
brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Leona Nowicki;
3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Blanche (Joc) Kuznicki,
Marge (Louis) Smolinski and
Bernadine (Ed) Bruski,

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 until
7:00 p.m. with rosary at 6:30. Visitation will resume on Saturday at
St. Ignatius Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at
10:00 a.m. with Fr. Sylvestre Obwaka officiating.

Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Ignatius Catholic School
in memory of Beatrice Muszynski.
