Bernard Nowicki
1919 - 2012Bemard L. Nowicki age 93 of Posen.
passed away August 14, 2012 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester.
He was born May 30, 1919 in Rogers City
to Joseph and Bernice (Kapalla) Nowicki.
Bernard served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of
St. Casimir Catholic Church and Posen VFW Post 7804,
Mr. Nowicki is survived by:
his sons, Bernard “Dennis” (Karen) of Arizona, Timothy of Rochester Hills, and
Ronald of Auburn Hills;
3 grandchildren, Jason (Jessica), Dana (Kyle) Gaca, and Lindsey;
4 great grandchildren, Sadie and Nathan Gaca, Julianne and Jake Nowicki;
6 sisters, Lucey Paul of Rogers City, Blanche Hentkowski of Hawks,
Virginia (Arthur) Smolinski of Warren, Florence Wozniak of Livonia,
Bernice Krajniak of Posen, and Theresa (Arthur) Cendrowski of Warren.
He was preceded in death by:
his wife, Lorraine;
parents, Joseph and Bernice;
3 brothers, Dominic, Edmond and Harry.
Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
where Sr. Rita Epple will conduct his prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
Visitation will resume at St. Casimir Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m.
until time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating.
Posen VFW Post 7804 will accord full military honors during graveside services
at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery following Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Casimir Church or
Posen VFW Post 7804 in memory of Bernard Nowicki.
