Betty Roeske

Betty Joyce Roeske age 88 of Moltke Township passed away September 29, 2022 at Golden Beach Manor.

She was born September 20, 1934 in Moltke Township to Ernest and Evelyn (Tulgestke) Schmidt.

Betty is survived by two sons, Ray Jr. (Renee) Roeske of Moltke Township and Glen (Marie) Roeske of Moltke Township; seven grandchildren, Ben (Chantal), Jason, Danielle (Caleb) Chojnacki, Colten (Shannon), Brooke, Hannah and Katie; five great grandchildren, Emmett, Luke, Kira, Greta and Otto; her brother, Ernest (Carol) Schmidt; and a sister-in-law, Elda Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond.

On January 24, 1953 she and Raymond were married at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Moltke Township. Betty was employed by the Presque Isle County Advance and Michigan Limestone, Calcite Plant as a secretary. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, wine making, cooking and spending time at the cottage on Black Lake with her grandchildren.

Private graveside services will take place at Moltke Township Cemetery in Moltke Township.
