Blanche Polaski

Blanche Polaski age 94 of Posen passed away July 6, 2021.

She was born January 10, 1927 in Posen to Peter and Joanna (Rygwelski) Lewandowski.

Blanche lived in Posen all her life. She attended St. Casimir school, graduated from Posen High School in 1946. On January 10, 1948 she married Robert Polaski at St. Casimir Catholic Church. Blanche was a member of St. Casimir Rosary Sodality as a group leader, member of the parish council and worship committee. She was also a member of the South Presque Isle VFW Auxiliary #7804 as President for 3 years and as Patriotic Instructor. She served as the Posen Village Clerk for 25 years, retiring in 1990. She and her husband, a Village Trustee worked on many Village festival floats and dinners. She enjoyed many years of camping, gardening, cooking, baking, flowers, her polka music, jigsaw puzzles, Detroit Tigers baseball, Lions football and traveling to visit family and grandchildren.

She is survived by seven children, Pat (John) Santini of Jackson, Tom (Helen) Polaski of Milan, Marge (Ted) Gostinger of Port Huron, Marian (Mike) Smith of Presque Isle, Joe Polaski of Mt. Morris, Barb (Steve) Conard of Port Huron and Ken (Mandy) Polaski of Hawks; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Darlene Polaski of Bay City and Jayne Polaski of St. Clair; and a brother-in-law, Ted (Donna) Polaski of Pinconning.

Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; two sons, Gerald and Michael; parents, Peter and Joanna; six brothers; six sisters and many brothers and sisters-in-law.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday, July 9th from 4-8 p.m. where the Rosary will be recited at 6:30 followed by the Wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday at St. Casimir Catholic Church at 10 a.m. through time of her Mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of Michigan in memory of Blanche Polaski.
