Brian Boyk

Brian L. Boyk age 59, of Lachine  lost his battle with cancer and was received by the Lord on November 12, 2024.

He was born in Rogers City on June 10, 1965.

Brian was known to many as the Posen Bandit. He loved car racing and received many first-place trophies. Dale Earnhardt was his inspiration. Brian worked at Cliff Anschuetz Chevrolet for many years, and always gave his employer a honest day’s work despite having a handicap. His greatest pride in his life was his five-acre farm where he raised fruit trees, and vegetables that he supplied to friends, neighbors and family. He was also a fantastic venison jerky and sausage maker.

Brian is survived by his mother Beatrice Smigelski; two sisters, Tracy Kline of Gladstone and Audrey Reprogal of Alpena, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leo.

Cremation arrangements are in care of the Beck Funeral Home.

Inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Alpena.
