passed away August 26, 2009 at home
She was born November 24th in Moltke Township
to Edward and Bertha (Wolgast) Felax
She was a lifelong area resident. A 1960 graduate of Rogers City High School, she
married Robert Boyke on July 2, 1960 at Immanuel Lutheran Church and moved to
Rogers City. Caryl-Lee was a homemaker until 1982 when she became a licensed
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). She worked for the Rogers City Area
Ambulance (Life+Link and Allied EMS) until retiring in 2002 as a wheelchair van
driver. Caryl-Lee was a proud member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Moltke
Township; the Ladies Auxiliary to the V.F.W. Post #607, and the Rogers City
Servicemen’s Club.
Caryl-Lee is survived by:
daughters, Lori Oliver of Onaway and Lisa (John) Ataman of Posen,
granddaughters, Kari and Erica Ataman,
sister, Darlene (Don) Bade of Rogers City,
brother in law, Newell Pennell of Midland,
sister in law Linda Felax of Moltke,
nieces, Kathy (Dave) Hilla of Muskegon and Krys Bond of Martinsville, IN,
nephew Gary (Kelly) Felax of Troy, IL and numerous other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by:
her parents, Ed & Bertha,
husband, Bob,
brother, Ron “Fuzzy” Felax and
sister in law, Betty Pennell
Friends may visit the Beck Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m., with
a V.E.W. Auxiliary service at 6:45 followed with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m..
Visitation will resume on Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m.
until time of funcral at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Eric Voigt officiating.
Interment will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church
in memory of Caryl-Lee Boyke.
