Charles LaFave

Charles Albert La Fave Sr. age 87 of Topinabee passed away at home on May 8, 2025.

He was born in Detroit to William and Zeida (Cox) La Fave on February 26, 1938.

Mr. Charles A. La Fave Sr., a resident of Topinabee since retirement. Husband to Carol J. La Fave since 1960.

He was proceeded by his wife Carol J. La Fave and daughter Sarah R. Lee.

He is survived by six children. Deborah A. La Fave, Charles F. & Regina La Fave II, Elizabeth M. & Danny Martin, Stephanie M. & Walter Bell, Rosetta P. & Richard McFarland and William F. La Fave. From a prior marriage – Charles A. & Francis La Fave Jr. He was grandfather to 24 children and great grandfather to 52 children.

He was a retiree of the Romeo Ford Tractor Plant. He served as an usher at the catholic shrine, The Cross in the Woods of Indian River, Michigan. Charles Enjoyed spending time with family playing cards, having barbecues and bonfires, watching old John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies, and fireworks. He was an avid hunter with his sons and grandsons. Our dad was the patriarch of the family and will be surely missed.
