1935 - 2024

Charles George Schultz, “Pastor Schultz” age 88 of Moltke Township passed away peacefully at home on May 8, 2024.

He was born in Herron to Harry and Lydia (Wimmer) Schultz on June 30, 1935.

On June 19, 1965 he married the love of his life, Marlys Jo Briley in Nevada, Iowa. Pastor and Marlys moved back to the family farm in Moltke Township in 1998. He retired from full time ministry several years ago after serving the Lord for 60 years.

Rev, as he is known by family and close friends is survived by two sons, Christian (Katherine) Schultz of Moltke and Andrew of Alpena; one granddaughter, Elizabeth; a niece, Becky Ebach and a nephew, John Ebach.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marlys; and his sister, Dorothea Ebach.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Sunday, May 12th from 4-6 p.m. with a concluding prayer service at 5:50 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday at St. John Lutheran Church in Hagensville from 10 a.m. until time of his funeral at 11 a.m. with Bishop Craig Satterlee and Pastor Gary Bunge officiating.

Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church – Hagensville.
