Charlotte Wendry

Charlotte Ann Wendry, age 93 of Rogers City, passed away peacefully on her birthday at Medilodge in Rogers City on September 26, 2024.

She was born in St. Ignace on September 26, 1931 to Ernest and Delilah (Johnston) Davis.

Charlotte spent her earliest years surrounded by family. She had fond memories of growing up with her cousins on the Johnston Farm in Bliss Township and among the Davis family in St. Ignace. On November 26, 1949, she was united in marriage with Edward Wendry in Detroit. They enjoyed 72 years together before Ed’s passing in 2022. Charlotte enjoyed crafts, reading, and was an avid cook. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed sharing photos, playing card games, and listening to the happenings in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren’s lives.

Charlotte is survived by her three children; Steven of Houghton Lake, Gene (Denise) of Kentucky, and Donna (Ken) Bielas of Rogers City; Grandchildren, John (Jane) Bielas, Eric (Jen) Bielas, Heidi (Zach) Stroup, Elijah Wendry, Uriah (Hannah) Wendry, Nathan (Jocelyn) Wendry, Joshua Wendry, Jacob Wendry, Hannah Wendry, Bethany and Catherine (Jonathan Richards) Wendry. Great-grandchildren include Daniel (Davina Teal), Austin, Bode, Katelyn, Chelsie, and Barrett Bielas, Israel, Atticus, Ezra, Josie, Virginia, Georgia, Gracelyn, Maylene, Gabriella, and Carlee Wendry, and Jonathan Richards.

A private service will take place.
