Claire Momrik
1961 - 2024Claire Marie Momrik age 62 of Posen passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
She was born October 18, 1961 in Rogers City to Raymond Savina and Beverly (Kamyszek) Savina.
Claire graduated from Rogers City High School in 1979. She married Glen Momrik on November 8, 1980. She worked at Huron Shores Abstract and Title with her mother and sister for 20 years. Claire was a lover of coffee, pizza rolls, books, The Royal Family, and watching birds from her front porch. She was also the best Mom, Nana, and Grandma to all of her pups – Jolene, Akira, Grizzly, and Lola, and was always there to greet them with a biscuit or a cookie (usually two). She was extremely kind-hearted in her own subtle way and had an uncanny ability to bring laughter to any situation. Claire will be missed tremendously by everyone who knew her.
Claire is survived by her husband of 44 years, Glen; her daughter, Nicole Momrik, her daughter and son-in law Jessica and Keith McLennan, her mother Beverly Savina, mother-in-law, Patricia Momrik, 5 brothers and sisters, Julie Auriemma, Laura (Dave) Grossman, Mike (Diana) Savina, John (Tomoko) Savina, Diana Ghiata ; 4 brothers and sisters in law, Marietta (Dale) Zampich, Ted (Kathy) Momrik, Lois (Terry) Jacobs, and Ann Wilk; and all of her favorite nieces and nephews, especially her two favorite boys, Tharin and Cameron Wilk.
She was preceded in death by her father Raymond Savina, her stepmother Hella Savina, and beloved father-in-law Frank Momrik.
Friends may visit the Beck Funeral Home on Monday, September 23rd from 4-8 p.m. with rosary at 6:30 followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at St. Casimir Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of her memorial Mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Charlie Donajkowski officiating.
Inurnment will follow at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Shelter Inc (Seconds on Third) in Rogers City.
