Clara Mulka

1926 - 2015

Clara B. Mulka, age 89 of Rogers City
passed away November 23, 2015 at Tendercare of Alpena.

She was born May 31, 1926 in Rogers City
to John and Bernice (Filarski) Schefke,

On June 16, 1947 she married Jerome “Harry” Mulka at St. Casimir
Catholic Church in Posen. She spent her entire married life as a
homemaker who worked tirelessly for her family…and her card playing.
Clara was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, its Rosary Society,
and the Daughters of Isabella, and also of the Euchre and Spitzer card
playing clubs. She never needed to be asked twice to play cards. Besides
her church and cards, she enjoyed her embroidery and gardening, but her
greatest love was for her family. She never tired of her grandkids or great
grandkids.

She ts survived by:
her five children, Virginia Fults of Gaylord,
Jerome (Della) of Sterling Heights,
Dennis (Peggy) of Mattawan, Susan Stenseng of Inkster,
and Mary Lijewski of Traverse City;
14 grandchildren;
21 great grandchildren;
1 great-great grandchild;
2 step grandchildren;
3 step great grandchildren;
2 great grandchildren “on the way”;
one sister Theresa (James) Ohlrich of Alpena; and
one brother Leonard (Jackie) Schefke of Alpena.

Mrs, Mulka was preceded in death by:
her husband Jerome in 2007;
an infant daughter, Norma Jean in 1961;
one brother Louis; and
three sisters, Mary, Virginia, and Blanche.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday, from 4:00 until
8:00 p.m. where the Rosary Society and Daughters of Isabella will recite
the rosary at 6:30 p.m. followed by the parish wake service at 7:00 p.m.

The family will bid their final farewells on Saturday with Mass at
1:00 p.m, at St, Ignatius Catholic Church with Fr. Sylvestre Obwaka
officiating

Per Clara’s request there will be no public viewing on Saturday
prior to Mass.

Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made “per your choice” in memory of Clara Mulka.
