Clarence Rocheleau
1926 - 2021Clarence Robert Rocheleau age 94, passed away peacefully at his home on January 1, 2021.
Clarence was born on September 10, 1926, in Aloha, and married Dorienne (Whiteman) of Topinabee in 1956.
The couple moved to California in 1957, where Clarence worked at General Motors/Van Nuys until he retired in 1986. The family then returned to Topinabee in 1987, where they purchased and re-opened Hoppies on Burt Lake. Clarence served in the United States Army during World War II. He is fondly remembered for his big smile, generosity, warm spirit, and love of animals.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Dorienne and three children; Blaine Rocheleau of Massillon, OH, Deirdre ‘Boots’ (Wright) of Topinabee, and Darby Rocheleau of Topinabee; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be sent to Northern Michigan Animal Rescue Network, PO Box 165, Topinabee, MI 49791.
A celebration of life is planned for the spring.
