Clements Misiak Jr.

1935 - 2010

Clements Misiak Jr. age 75 of Posen
passed away August 31, 2010 at Alpena Regional Medical Center

He was born April 28, 1935 in Krakow Township
to Clement and Agnes (Modrzynski) Misiak

Clem graduated from Posen High School in 1955 then served in the United States
Navy until October of 1961. On June 15, 1963 he married Elaine Purol at
St. Casimir Catholic Church. Starting in 1969 his love for polka music stretched
across the airwaves as he was heard on many of our local radio stations. Currently he
and his wife, Elaine were heard on WATZ with their Sunday in Poland show. Clem
formed a polka band called The New Crew and recorded 2 albums. In 1999 Polish
Polka Clem, (P.P.C.) was inducted into the Michigan State Polka Music Hall of Fame
Mr. Misiak worked for National Gypsum and Nowicki’s Sausage Shop. He was a
member of St. Casimir Catholic Church, and a 3rd and 4th degree member of the
Knights of Columbus were he was Past Grand Knight and Past Faithful Navigator.

He is survived by:
wife, Elaine;
2 sons, Christopher (Kristie) of Livonia and Charles (Marcy) of Greenbush;
4 grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexis, Savannah, and Christian;
3 brothers, Ronald (Joan) of Alpena, Raphael (Caroline) of Haslett, and
Dennis (Kim) of Tennessee

Clem was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Adam

Friends may visit the Beck Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
where the rosary will be recited by the 4th degree knights at 6:30 followed by the
parish prayer service at 7:00 p.m.. Visitation will resume at St. Casimir Catholic
Church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of mass at 11:00 a.m. with
Fr. Stan Bereda officiating. Posen VF W will accord military honors following mass.

St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery will be Clem’s place of rest.
