Corey Morrison

Corey Lynn Morrison age 51 of Hillman passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on April 6, 2024.

She was born in Lansing on September 8, 1972 to Fred and Linda (Jore) McEwen.

Corey graduated from Alpena High School in 1991. On January 22, 2000 she married Alan Morrison at St. Augustine Catholic Church. She worked at Wayne Wire for nearly 30 years, also at VanPamel’s Hometown Diner off and on for many years. Corey enjoyed spending time with her family and her time in the Hillman Community.

She is survived by her husband, Alan; five children, Masie (Dan) Senchuk of Alpena, Jacob, Isaac, Regina and Melanie all of Hillman; two grandchildren, Nia and Cody; parents, Fred and Linda McEwen; one brother, Fred “Buck” McEwen.

Friends may visit at St. Augustine Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 10^th from 4-8 p.m. with rosary at 6:30. Visitation will continue at church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. James Siler officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery.
