Dale Morrison

Dale Allen “Puttsy” Morrison age 80 of Rogers City passed away July 15, 2026 with his family at his side at MyMichigan Health Center in Alpena.

He was born April 1, 1946 in Rogers City to Lawrence and Marie (Curtis) Morrison.

Dale left to serve in the United States Army right after high school. On May 13, 1972, just three days after he was discharged from the service, he married “the girl next door” Margaret “Peggy” Schaedig at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Moltke. Dale retired in August of 2007 as a plumber out of Local 85. He enjoyed hunting deer, bear and coyote with his four legged Bluetick friends. He was a member of the Rolling Acres Hunt Club.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret “Peggy”; daughter, Gwen (Chris) Luetzow; grandson, Chase Luetzow and many nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Marie; his sister, Ruby (James) Flewelling; and three brothers, LeRoy (Barb), Don (Shirley) and Larry (Nancy).

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 21st from 10 a.m. through time of his memorial service at 11 a.m. where Rogers City VFW Post 607 will offer a military tribute.

Inurnment will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Morrison family for a charity to be selected later.
