Daniel Zielaskowski

Daniel Elmer Zielaskowski age 95 of Rogers City passed away peacefully at home on November 17, 2022.

He was born November 19, 1926 in Rogers City to Anthony and Elizabeth (Schott) Zielaskowski.

On June 19, 1948 he married Lillian Yarch at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Daniel enjoyed woodworking, working in the woods, hunting and crewelwork.

Daniel is survived by four children, Margaret Schneider of Indianapolis, Indiana, Christine (Jeffrey) Cook of Gaylord, John (Jane) Zielaskowski of Rogers City and Lila (Arnie) Millsap of Leonard; seven grandchildren, Edmond (Christine) Schneider, Michael (Jennifer Ann) Schneider, Stephanie (Jason) Young, Cynthia (Bryan) Lewandowski, Audrey (Phil) White, Danielle Zielaskowski and Rebecca Zielaskowski; step grandson, Talon Wooster; ten great grandchildren, Toni, Mariah, Nathaniel, Jack, Eva, Rainey, Annabelle, Anthony, Avery and Odin.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Lillian; a grandson, Christopher Daniel Schneider.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Sunday, November 27th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. the Rosary will be recited at 6:30. Visitation will resume on Monday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. through time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Rolando Silva officiating. Rogers City VFW Post will offer a military tribute following Mass.

Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be given to Presque Isle County Council on Aging, Meals on Wheels.
