Darl Felax

Darl M. Felax age 79 of Rogers City
passed away September 14, 2011 at home

He was born April 21, 1932 in Rogers City
to Henry and Edna (Schultz) Felax

Darl started working with the Great Lakes Fleet in 1950, he retired as a
Conveyorman in the spring of 1984. On May 26, 1951 he married Ilene Kortman at
St. John Lutheran Church in Hagensville. Mr. Felax enjoyed spending time with his
grandchildren, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and most of all, camping, where he
would have a smile on his face the entire time.

Mr. Felax is survived by:
his wife, Ilene;
3 children, Pam (Chuck) Curtis, Connie (Jim) Lawes, and Wes (Deb) Felax;
7 grandchildren, Andy (Steff) Curtis, Corey (Jen) Curtis, Crystal Curtis,
Jason Lawes, Carmen (Steve) Ingrao, Eric (Dennic) Felax, and
Mitch (Shannon) Felax;
10 great grandchildren;
sister in law, Lois Felax

He was preceded in death by:
2 granddaughters, Brandi Curtis in 2008 and Megan Felax in 1985;
parents, Henry and Edna;
brother, Chester Felax

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m.
with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday at
St. John Lutheran Church in Rogers City from 10:00 a.m. through time of service
at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Schreiber officiating.

Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church or
Hospice of the Sunrise Shore in memory of Darl Felax.
