DAVID BAIRD JACOBS

David Baird Jacobs, 85, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, surrounded by family and friends at Brookdale Memory Care in Oro Valley, Arizona.

Born in Wayne, Michigan, Dave graduated from Wayne Memorial High School, served in the Air Force, and earned a BS degree from Central Michigan University. He spent his career teaching elementary and middle school students in Pontiac and Holly.

Dave loved the outdoors, travel, and sports. He spent many summers camping with his family, enjoyed time in Rogers City, and stayed active throughout his life through softball, golf, running, tennis, swimming, and motorcycle rides through southern Arizona. In Green Valley, he earned medals in Senior Masters swimming.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Don Jacobs; his brother Don; his brother- in- law, Edward; his in-laws, Edward and Eleanore Schultz; and his infant granddaughter, Emily.

He is survived by his son Bob and daughter-in-law Brandy; grandchildren Nick, Andrew, Matthew, and Lauren; his former wife Jane Jacobs; and his friend Jean Gifford.

Services will be held Thursday, August 13, at 1:30 p.m. at Rogers City Memorial Park Cemetery.
