David Leach

David John Leach age 73 of Rogers City passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 16, 2026 surrounded by family.

He was born March 22, 1953 in Rogers City to Thomas and Mildred (Fitch) Leach.

David grew up in Millersburg, he began working at age 9 when his father passed away, and didn’t stop until 2021 when his wife Marcia required his full time assistance. He married his childhood sweetheart, Marcia Kowalski on January 22, 1972 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. It was the simple things in life that David liked best, deer hunting, sitting on the swing in the back yard, watching old television programs, family dinners at the table and spending time with family, including daily phone calls with his siblings.

He is survived by three daughters, Stacie (Paul) Ring of Grayling, Rene (DJ) Schwalbach of Escanaba and Holli (AC) Hengler of North Carolina; six grandchildren, Nicolas (Bridget), Jared, Noah, Hannah, Haylee and Hayden; seven siblings, Carol Arnold, Larry (Lynn) Leach, Ed Leach, Rodney (Lynda) Leach, Trina (Jack) Rokos, Tammy (Jim) Bischoff and Jeff (Jacqueline) Leach; a sister-in-law, Donna Leach and a good friend, Al LaLonde.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia; his parents, Thomas and Mildred; a brother, Dale and a sister, Kathy Merchant.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Saturday, September 5th from 10 a.m. through time of his memorial service at 11 a.m.

Inurnment will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to McLaren Hospice in memory of David Leach.
