David Lijewski

David Glenn Lijewski Sr. age 73 of Rogers City passed from this world on July 8, 2022 with his family at his side. I lost my best friend that day.

Born to Victor and Mary (Rosmyslovich) Lijewski September 30, 1948 in Alpena.

David is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rebecca; son, David Jr. (Diane) Lijewski of Plymouth and daughter, Lana Lijewski, of Rogers City; his godson, Robert Jr. (Kris) Lijewski of Rogers City; grandson, Nathan Lijewski of Plymouth; granddaughter Baylee Lijewski, of Rogers City, granddaughter, Jordyn Lijewski, of Denver, Colorado; brothers, Thomas (Kathy), Edward (Cathy) of Rogers City, Lester (Vicki) of Mesquite, Nevada; sisters Beverly Ujtaszewski and Mary Beth (Craig) Vining of Alpena, Sandra White, Joan Ravazzani of Rogers City and sister-in-law Jessica (Buck) Romanowski of Posen.

He was the best grandfather to his three grandchildren and like a father to Baylee. He was the greatest dad to not only his children, but half the neighborhood. He is also survived by his loving, four-legged companion, Sam.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Lijewski Sr.

His love for riding his Harley and trucking never left him, sailing for 35 years, and returning to truck driving until his illness forced him to stop. Roll on Dave.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 10th from 2 p.m. through time of his memorial service at 3:00 p.m.

Inurnment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
