David Mix

David William Mix age 75 of Rogers City
passed away January 21, 2017 at home.

He was born December 1, 1941 in Detroit
to Robert and Hilda (Bremer) Mix.

David joined the United States Marine Corps in March of 1966 and was
honorably discharged in August of 1968. He earned a Master’s Degree
from Wayne State University, He started teaching at Rogers City High
School in 1970 and taught for 10 years, David also was a football coach
in Rogers City for many years. He was an author, an avid classical music
fan, and enjoyed reading. David enjoyed all sports, especially football
and hockey; he was a huge Red Wings fan.

He is survived by:
his brother, Robert (Betsy) Mix of Napoleon, Ohio;
2 nephews, David Mix of Fargo, North Dakota and
Jonathan (Colette) Mix of Gahanna, Ohio; and
many friends in Rogers City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Hilda.

No local services are planned at this time, Military Honors and inurnment
will take place at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, Virginia.
