Doris Dowdell

Doris L. Dowdell age 81 of Rogers City passed away January 10, 2021 at Medilodge in Rogers City.

She was born April 29, 1939 in Midland, Ontario, Canada to Thomas and Emily (Rorabeck) Gray.

On July 23, 1960 she married William “Bill” Dowdell in Toronto, Canada.

Doris is survived by her son, Shayne (Sue) Dowdell and her daughter, Emily Ruth-Anne (Steve) Crane; grandchildren, J. Richards, William Richards, Chelsea (Andrew) May, TJ (fiancée, Autumn Stensland) Dowdell, Scott (Jessica Atkins) Tulgestke, Rick (Elizabeth Zinke) Tulgestke, Jennifer (fiancé, Dustin Makowski) Tulgestke, Misti (Don) Crane Cotter, Zachary Crane; great grandchildren: Jami Richards, Skylar Butler, Brayden Wirgau; three sisters, Donna Burton, Joan Taylor and Patricia (John) Chappa.

She was preceded in death by husband, Bill on February 3, 2008.

Friends may visit at Peace Lutheran Church on Saturday, January 16^th from 10 a.m. through time of her funeral at 11 a.m. with Pastor J. Derek Riddle officiating. Burial will take place in the spring at Peace Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or Peace Lutheran Church in memory of Doris Dowdell.
