Doris Habedank

Doris Habedank age 93 of Rogers City passed away at Wellspring Lutheran Senior Living Campus in Saginaw on Saturday, May 9, 2020.

She was born August 4, 1926 in Kankakee, Illinois to Charles Albert and Elizabeth Wilhelmine (Winkel) Heidenreich.

Doris was baptized on September 5, 1926 at St Paul Lutheran Church in Kankakee, Illinois. She moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1942. On October 5, 1946 she married August Henry Habedank in Kankakee at St Paul Lutheran Church. They lived in Kankakee until 1948 then moved to Detroit. The Habedanks moved to Barnhart Lake in 1974 then to Rogers City in 2000.

She is survived by eight children; David (Jane) of Charlotte, NC, Jerry (Laurie) of Bay City, Daniel (Lorie) of Gaylord, Joy Cunningham of Romeo, Linda Kerr of Rogers City, Michael (Cat) of San Leandro, CA, Carol (Rick) of Rogers City and Cheryl (Greg) Osantowski of Gaylord; two sisters-in-law Carol (Sepke) Heidenreich and Eileen (Kempinski) Heidenreich; and numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Doris was predeceased by her husband, August; parents, Elizabeth and Charles; sister, Phyllis; two brothers, Myron and James; two sons-in-law, Jim Cunningham and Michael Kerr and granddaughter, Rebeka Habedank.

A private graveside service will take place at St. Michael Lutheran Cemetery.

Beck Funeral Home will announce her memorial service at a later date.
