Duane Berg
1958 - 2015A memorial graveside service and military honors will be held
for Duane Berg who was lost in the sinking of the Carl D. Bradley
on November 18, 1958.
Pastor Thomas Smuda will officiate and Rogers City VFW Post 607 will
accord full military honors at Memorial Park Cemetery in Rogers City
on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
Duane was born June 7, 1933 in Rogers City to Benjamin and Gertrude
(Haselhuhn) Berg. After graduation from Rogers City High School he
served in the United States Air Force from July of 1952 through July of
1956, Following his military duty, Duane began sailing for the Bradley
Fleet. On March 8, 1958 he married Donna Settle at St. John Lutheran
Church in Rogers City.
Those in attendance at his honors service will include:
his son, Duane (Glennis) Berg of Hamburg, New York;
two granddaughters, Crystal and Heather;
three grandsons, Nathan, Jonathan and Hunter; and
1 brother, Mark (Evelyn) Berg;
many nieces and nephews, and
his brother-in-law, Nelson Paull.
Duane’s parents, Benjamin and Gertrude as well as his sister, Iris Paull
went to be with the Lord prior to his honors service.
