He was born January 17, 1953 in Rogers City.
Duane is survived by three children, Gerri Battisti of Cheboygan, Wayne Curtis of Wisconsin and Joe Curtis of Cheboygan; two grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Curtis of Lapeer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay.
