Duane Luetzow

Duane Neal Luetzow age 66 of Rogers City passed unexpectedly at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey on August 12, 2024.

He was born in Rogers City to Herman and Ila (Schaedig) Luetzow on October 20, 1957.

Duane graduated from Rogers City High School in 1977. On October 1, 1977 he married Dale Vekaryasz at St. James Lutheran Church in Moltke Township. He retired from Family Fare in 2019 after 30 years of employment. He enjoyed beer and bon-fires with family, friends and his dog, Frankie. Duane was a member of the Millersburg Eagles Club.

He is survived by his wife, Dale; two children, Christopher (Gwen) Luetzow of Rogers City and Angela Luetzow of Rogers City; two grandchildren, Chase and Sawyer; mother, Ila of Rogers City; siblings, Helen (Don) Rygwelski of Grand Lake, Gary (Kathy) Luetzow of Rogers City, Larry Luetzow of Rogers City and Pam (Mark Kandow) Kroll-Luetzow; and many nieces and nephews.

Duane was preceded in death by his father, Herman.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Saturday, August 17th from 1 p.m. through time of his memorial service at 2 p.m.

Memorials may be given to the Luetzow family for a charity to be selected later.
