Edward Goupell

Edward C. Goupell age 92 of Posen passed away April 8, 2008 at his home.
He was born December 22, 1915 in Onaway to Joseph and Mary (Milostan) Goupell.

While serving in the United States Air Force during World War II, he married
Mary Przybyla on May 22, 1944 in Independence, Kansas. They moved from Posen
to Onaway in 1954. Mr. Goupell worked for the state of Michigan in the Social
Service Department and retired in 1974.

He is survived by:
his wife, Mary,
five sons, Dale of Alpena, Dennis and Sally of Posen, Duane and Vivian of Oshkosh,
Wisconsin, Patrick of Marquette, and Richard and Donna of Alpena
eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home in Rogers City on
Friday, April 11, from 2-8 p.m. with the Rosary at 6:30 followed by the parish
wake service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday at
St. Casimir Catholic Church in Posen from 9:00 a.m. until time of
mass at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Clarence Smolinski and Fr. Stan Bereda officiating.

Interment will take place in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. Casimir Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
