Edward Partyka

Edward Partyka age 89 of Rogers City
passed away May 19, 2016 following a short but courageous battle
with cancer.

He was born April 25, 1927 in Rogers City
to Stephen and Anna (Promo) Partyka.

Ed served in the United States Army at the end of World War II, On
January 6, 1951 he married Doris Szejbach at St. Ann Catholic Church
in Alpena. Ed sailed on the Great Lakes and retired as a First Mate in
1976. He enjoyed his long retirement and spent as much time fishing
as he could,

Mr. Partyka is survived by:
2 sons, Ken (Mandy) of 40 Mile Point and
Chuck (Melinda) of Harbor Springs;
3 grandchildren, David (Christine) Partyka, Angel (Julian) Angel and
Laura Partyka; and
5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by:
his wife, Doris;
a grandson, Brian Meilbeck;
1 brother and 3 sisters.

Fr. Sylvestre Obwaka officiated at a private graveside service at
Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. Ignatius Catholic School
in memory of Edward Partyka.
