Edwin Przybyla

Edwin John Przybyla age 87 of Rogers City
passed away November 12, 2014 at Rogers City Tendercare.

He was born March 2, 1927 in Posen
to Anthony Joseph and Anna (Romel) Przybyla Sr.

Ed served in the United States Army during World War II. After he returned
home, Ed owned and operated the Sunoco Gas Station in Rogers City for
many years. He also owned Eddie’s Auto Parts in Rogers City until his
retirement in 1990, On December 2, 1967 he married Mavis Kowalski at
St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Mr, Przybyla was a member of St. Ignatius
Catholic Church, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, and the Rogers City
Servicemen’s Club, He enjoyed bowling and nice cars.

Ed is survived by:
6 children, Rose Przybyla of Rogers City, Melissa Przybyla of Rogers City,
Brenda (Malcolm) Lamp of Rogers City,
Michael (Karen) Kowalski of Rogers City,
Mary (Paul) Knudsen of Beulah, and
Patricia (Pat) Schaub of Interlochen;
11 grandchildren;
11 great grandchildren;
7 siblings, Rita Rotta, Laurie (Bob) Ross, Dennis (Janet) Przybyla,
Brother Julian Przybyla, Anthony (Mary) Przybyla Jr.,
Anne Przybyla and Jimmy (Carol) Przybyla.

He was preceded in death by:
his wife, Mavis on September 13, 1999;
son, Richard Kowalski;
grandson, Jamie Cooper; and
brother, Ralph Przybyla.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home Thursday from 4:00 until

8:00 p.m. where the 3rd Degree Knights will lead the rosary at 6:30
followed by the parish wake service at 7:00 p.m. with Fr. Gerald Okoli
conducting. Visitation will resume at St. Ignatius Catholic Church on
Friday from 10:00 a.m. through time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. with
Fr. Gerald Okoli officiating. Rogers City VFW will accord military honors
immediately following mass.

Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery,

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Ignatius Catholic School,
the St. Ignatius Window Fund, or Hospice of the Sunrise Shore in memory
of Edwin Przybyla,
