Eldene Thompson

Eldene Ackley Thompson age 93 of Grant Township passed
away peacefully at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in
Petoskey on July 16, 2019.

He was born November 14, 1925 in Fayette, Ohio to
Ross and Pauline (Landis) Thompson.

Eldene graduated from Romulus High School in 1945.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Eldene married Marilyn Cole on May 24, 1948 in
Weston, Michigan. He worked as a brick layer for 52 years.

Eldene is survived by:

two children, Pamela Sue Thompson Gahn Hanna (Skip) of Clayton, Michigan and
Thomas Eldene Thompson of Cheboygan;

two Grandsons Kelly Lee Gahn (Kristie) of Summerset, Michigan
and Jason Thomas Thompson of Jackson, Michigan;

two great granddaughters Michaela and Alisha Gahn;
and many nieces and nephews.

Eldene was preceded in death by both parents; his wife, Marilyn and a sister Donna Lee Jarrette.

He will be cremated with no services at this time.
