Ellen Paulley

Ellen Elizabeth Paulley age 82 of Cheboygan passed away at Medilodge in Cheboygan on January 28, 2025.

She was born and raised in Afton to Elverton and Fern (Jensen) Hunt on November 5, 1942.

Ellen worked as a waitress for most of her life, doing what she loved. Ellen loved people and people loved her. Several of her favorite places to work were, Calhoun Chinese Restaurant in Detroit before moving to Cheboygan, then, the Gold Nugget and lastly at Indo China Restaurant.

She is survived by her brothers, Donald Hunt of Bedford, Massachusetts and Robert (Pat) Hunt of East Jordan; also surviving are several nieces, Rosemary Walter, Sharon Striebich and Gail Robillard; nephews, Gary (Barb) Robillard and Ronald Robillard, as well as many other nieces, nephews and friends and her beloved cat, Toot, whom she loved dearly

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Elverton and Fern; her husband, Bernard; three brothers, Evert, Ralph and Fred; three sisters, Margaret, Wilma and Eleanor.

She had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off her back to anyone.

Ellen will be lovingly missed by everyone who knew her, Heaven gained an Angel.

Friends may visit at the Life Worship Center in Cheboygan on Saturday, February 15th from 11 a.m. through time of her memorial service at 12-Noon with Pastor Sam Agee officiating.
