Elsie Kortman

Elsie A. Kortman age 88 of Belknap Township
passed away January 28, 2012 in Rogers City

She was born December 26, 1923 in Hawks
to Charles and Laura (Wenzel) Wirgau ¥

On September 28, 1941 she married Edward L. Kortman at St. John Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Kortman was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Hagensville and
enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Elsie is survived by:
her children, Michael (Marie) Kortman, Darlene (Terry) Elowsky,
Barbara (Gene) Schaedig, Larry Kortman, and Duane Kortman;
numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Kortman was preceded in death by:
her husband, Edward L, Kortman;
2 sons, Edward D. Kortman and Neil Charles Kortman;
grandson, Mitchell Kortman;
4 brothers, Wilbert Wirgau, Max Wirgau, Louis Wirgau, and Harold Wirgau;
2 sisters, Loraine Koloja and Norie Ramsay

Friends may visit at Beck Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. with
a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at
St. John Lutheran Church in Hagensville from 10:00 a.m. through time of funeral
at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Charles Schultz officiating.

Burial will take place at St. John Lutheran Cemetery

Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church – Hagensville, in memory
of Elsie Kortman.
