Eugene Pilarski

1933 - 2014

Eugene J. “Gene” Pilarski age 80 of Rogers City
formerly of Warren, passed away October 31, 2014
at Rogers City Tendercare.

He was born December 22, 1933 in Metz
to John and Anna (Urban) Pilarski,

Gene served in the United States Army from 1955 through 1957.

On April 19, 1958 he married Jeannette Woloszyk at St. Casimir Catholic
Church, Gene retired from General Motors as a Tool Maker in 1992, He
and Jeannette moved back to Metz in 1996, then to Rogers City in 1997.
Mr. Pilarski was a member of St.Dominic Catholic Church, 3rd Degree
member of the Posen Knights of Columbus, Rogers City Servicemen’s
Club and the UAW Retirees Alpena Chapter. He enjoyed deer hunting,
fishing and spending time outdoors.

Gene is survived by:
his wife, Jeannette;
brother, Leo;
sister, Virginia (Arthur) Hilla; and
19 nephews.

He was preceded in death by:
4 brothers, Phil, Julius, Walter, and Edward;
1 sister, Helen Kandal.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home Sunday from 4:00 until
8:00 p.m. where the Rosary will be led by the Posen 3rd degree
Knights of Columbus at 6:30, followed by the Parish Wake Service at
7:00 p.m. with Sr, Rita Epple conducting.

Visitation will resume on Monday at St. Dominic Catholic Church from
10:00 a.m. through time of Mass at 11:00 a.m, with Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz
and Sr, Rita Epple officiating.

Posen VFW 7804 will accord military honors following Mass.

Interment will take place at St. Dominic Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of the Sunrise Shore
or St. Dominic Catholic Church,
