Evelyn Momrik

Evelyn Rose Momrik age 82 of Posen
passed away from an extended illness on
February 20, 2010 with her family by her side

Evelyn was born to Frank and Theodosia (Lewandowski) Konwinski,
in Posen, on January 31, 1928.

She married Alexander Momrik, (the love of her life), on May 1, 1948 at
St. Casimir Church in Posen by Rev. Casimir Szyper.

Evelyn was a beautiful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a
passionate gardener, winning “Best of Show” many times at the annual Iris Show
in Mio. Her flowers graced the church altars throughout the years. She also was an
avid deer and bear hunter, and loved watching sports of all types with her family.
She was a member of St. Casimir Rosary Sodality, and a charter member of the
Posen VFW Ladies Auxiliary 7804, and the Mio Irisarians.

Evelyn is survived by:
six children, Diane (Joseph) DeRosia of Alpena, Daniel (Irene) of Posen,
Katherine of Posen, Allan (Marie) of Presque Isle,
Karl of Presque Isle, and Alexander Jr. (dear friend Tammy) of Lansing
four grandchildren, David, Matthew (Valerie), Sharon, and Kenneth (Kyrie);
seven great-grandchildren, Mason, Logan, Linsey, Hannah, Caleb, Isaac, and Devon

Friends may visit the Beck Funeral Home in Rogers City on Tuesday from 2:00
until 8:00 p.m. where the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Rosary Sodality will recite
the rosary at 6:30 followed by the parish wake service at 7:00 p.m..
Fr, Stan Bereda will celebrate her mass of resurrection at 11:00 a.m, Wednesday at
St. Casimir Catholic Church. There will be no public visitation on Wednesday.

Interment will take place at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. Casimir Catholic Church in memory of
Evelyn Rose Momrik.
