Florence Ponik

Florence Ponik, age 82 of Grand Lake,
passed away June 27, 2014 at
Rogers City Tendercare,

She was born in December of 1931 in Posen
to John and Elizabeth (Przybyla) Polaski.

Florence graduated from Posen High School in 1950, On November 9,
1957 she married Walter Ponik at St. Casimir Catholic Church.
Florence was a typist and bookkeeper for the Rogers City Hospital.
After it closed she continued working for several Alpena doctors.
Mrs. Ponik was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and its rosary
sodality.

Florence is survived by:
her husband, Walter;
3 children, Michael (Mary Beth) Ponik of Alpena,
Elizabeth (Timothy) Brooks, of Allen Park, and
Patricia (Jerome) Lica of Livonia;
7 grandchildren, Adrian (Meg), Erin, Alyssa, Becca, Terese, Alex, and
Stephanie;
2 sisters, Marge (Art) Budnik and Marie Pitt.

She was preceded in death by:
her parents, John and Elizabeth Polaski;
2 brothers, Leo and Aloysius Polaski;
1 sister, Phyllis Hilla.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00 until
8:00 p.m. where the rosary will be led by the Rosary Sodality at 6:30
followed by the parish wake service at 7:00 p.m.
Visitation will resume on Tuesday at St. Casimir Catholic Church from
10:00 a.m. through time of Mass at 11:00 a.m, with Fr. Stan Bereda
officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery,
