Gary DeFilippi

Gary Albert DeFilippi age 78 of Benton Township went to meet his Lord and be reunited with his son, Michael on March 22, 2020 from Medilodge in Rogers City.

He was born August 24, 1941 in Detroit to Albert and Stella (Kazes) DeFilippi.

Gary served in the United States Army from 1967 through 1969 and was deployed to the DMZ. On September 19, 1996 he married Gloria Dombroski. Gary retired in 2002 as an overhead crane operator for Ryerson Steel Company in Detroit after 30 years of dedicated service. Following retirement, Gary and Gloria moved north to enjoy fishing, boating, snowmobiling and most of all, riding his motorcycle throughout Northern Michigan.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria; three children, Stephanie (Kyle) Roberts of Detroit, Joseph (Wendy) DeFilippi of Detroit and Anthony (Jennifer) DeFilippi of Detroit; seven grandchildren and one great grandson, Michael.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael.

Cremation arrangements are in care of the Beck Funeral Home.

Private services will take place at a later date.
