George Curtis

George E. “Joe” Curtis age 82 of Huron Beach
passed away September 19, 2012 at home

He was born March 17, 1930, in Ocqueoc Township
to George and Hannah (Schalk) Curtis

George and his brothers enjoyed working in the woods, so they partnered and
created Curtis Brothers Farm and Forestry. He enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling.

George is survived by:
his children; Chuck (Pam) Curtis of Moltke, JoAnn (Gary) Yaklin of Huron Beach,
Janet Kuznicki of Rogers City,
Laurie (Jeff Bredow) Lloyd of Huron Beach,
Mike (Sheri) Curtis of Huron Beach, and Terry (Julic) Curtis of Alpena;
16 grandchildren;
24 great grandchildren;
brothers, Clarence (Dolena) Curtis of Ocqueoc, and John Curtis of Huron Beach;
sisters, Lorene Quade of Rogers City, Carol Borrousch of Bay City, and
Agnes Schaedig of Rogers City.

He was preceded in death by:
his wife, Mary Louise, whom he married on April 14, 1951;
granddaughter Brandi Curtis;
brothers, Norm, Ray, Bob, and Russ;
sister, Isabel,

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m.
with prayers at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at Immanuel Lutheran Church
on Saturday from Noon through time of funcral at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Eric Voigt
officiating.

Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Case Township.

Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church in memory of George Curtis.
